The IPL is a popular and wealthy cricket league that began 15 years ago with a memorable first match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. The league has since transformed T20 cricket and sports in India. It took 15 years for the IPL to reach this significant milestone of 1000 matches.
