But why they killed them ?
Did they take some actions that were in welfare of India and those decisions made these terror groups angry n in retaliation they assassinated them or there was some other story ?

IG was assassinated by her bodyguards coz she allowed operation blue star in which army entered in Golden temple n Killed Pro Khalistani militant Jarnail Bhindranwale n lot of his supporters
RG was assassinated by LTTE coz he sent Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to Sri Lanka
In 1977 Punjab elections, Congress lost election badly from Akali Dal + Janta Party Alliance
Prakash Singh Badal became CM of Punjab who was most prominent orthodox Sikh leader. Congress wanted to challenge him by some other leader from same group n they found their man in 1978
His name was Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale
Sanjay Gandhi and IG supported him n groomed him against SAD
Their plan was to break alliance between Sikh Akali Dal and Hindu Janta Party
In 1980 IG became PM of India n she suspended Punjab govt
Re-election happened again in Punjab n this time Congress won n now Bhindranwale was no useful for them but till them Bhindranwale had became big n Punjab started to burn in insurgency.
ISI took benefit of it and started to fuel Khalistan movement.
IG made a sikh Jail Singh to President of India in 1982 but things were going out of hand n then in June 1984 infamous operation blue start happened.
In which IG sent army into Golden temple
554 Sikh militants and civilians dead and 83 soldiers martyred. Later RG said 700 soldiers were killed. Bhinderwala was also killed.To take revenge of this, two sikh bodyguards of Indira Gandhi Satwant and Beant Singh killed her,
Though there was intelligence input to remove these bodyguards but IG didn’t remove them.
At the same time one more insurgency was going on in Sri Lanka . Sri Lanka majority population in Sinhalese while in north Part Jaffna was occupied by Tamil.
There were lot of Tamil group were fighting with Sri Lankan govt for separate tamil country,
And one from them was Prabhakaran
Indira Gandhi supported Prabhakaran since he was tamil n it cud help IG to get support in Tamil Nadu
A special dispensation was granted by her to the LTTE which has not been granted till now even to any of the state governments in this country.
Prabhakaran used to worship IG.
India kept supporting LTTE after RG also
In June 1987, Sri Lankan Army sieged a town of Jaffna.This resulted in large scale civilian casualties and became problem for India
India sensed prospect of a Tamil backlash at home
RG was stuck between Srilanka Govt n LTTE
29 July 1987, Indo-Sri Lankan Accord was signed to stop violence in Jaffna n give some powers to Tamil but LTTE was not made party in it n it actually made Prabhakaran angry
When RG was in Sri Lanka, he was attacked by SL naval officer
After this RG sent IPKF in Sri Lanka n this decision proved fatal for RG
Huge violence happened between Indian army n LTTE n people were killed from both side
LTTE wanted to take revenge on it n on 21 May 1991 they sent their suicide bomber n killed RG
Bhinderwala and Prabhakaran both were created or supported by Congress to get power in Punjab and Tamil Nadu
But both became misadventure n later backfired
